Facility Come and Try Sessions

Come & Try Sessions heading

In the lead up to re-opening Oakleigh Recreation Centre, Active Monash will be hosting tours of the new facility alongside Come and Try sessions for members of the community to try out the new facilities. 

Cost: All come and try sessions are FREE

Sessions available during the scheduled times:

  • Group Fitness classes
  • Gym
  • Facility tours

Booking information

Bookings required for all sessions.

Session bookings open 48 hours prior to the advertised session time and can be made by phone only. Please call 8567 0333 to book your session.

Session Descriptions - 

  • Barre - Barre is a workout technique inspired by elements of ballet, yoga and Pilates. It focuses on low-impact, high intensity movements designed to improve core strength, developing the stabilizing muscles of the shoulder and hip girdles, and enhancing flexibility.
  • Cycle - high-energy workout on a stationary bike. Lift your heart rate; strengthen your legs and burn maximum calories.
  • Dance Hit - A cardio based workout using popular dance hits to give you a fun and easy to follow workout.            
  • Reformer Pilates - Pilate’s reformer classes use a specialized Pilate’s reformer bed to take your Pilates to the next level. Resistance and tension can be adjusted to individuals and with the addition of props the class will help develop muscle tone and fiexibilty and can be adjusted for all levels.
  • RESULTS – Involves a wide variety of weighted and body weighted exercises to provide a full body workout, This class is a great way to condition different muscle groups, develop a new set of skills and train the body for activities of daily life. Take it at your own pace while exercising in a fun, social environment. Come and try out the new RESULTS HQ 
  • Yoga - improve strength and flexibility with this mind and body workout. It incorporates postures and breathing plus meditation and relaxation.
  • Zumba - mixing low-intensity and high-intensity moves for an interval-style, calorie-burning dance fitness party.
