Graham's Vegan Pizza


Pizza Base 

  • Bread & Pizza plain flour 
  • I sachet of Tandaco Dry Yeast
  • ¼ cup of warm water
  • ¼ teaspoon of sugar 

Pizza Topping 

  • 1- 2 tablespoons of Tomato paste 
  •  Handful of baby spinach leaves
  • ¼ Capsicum cut into thin slices
  • 2-3 button mushrooms sliced
  • ¼ Red onion
  • 6-8 slices of zucchini – I sliced them thinly with a vegetable peeler 
  • A couple of half handfuls of vegan shredded cheese
  • About 6 cherry tomatoes – halved
  • About 6 olives – halved 

Note: equipment required 


Pizza Base 


  1.  Preheat your oven to 220 degrees
  2. Place one cup of flour into a mixing bowl
  3. Dissolve Yeast into warm water adding the sugar.
  4. After about 10 minutes mix the yeast & water mix into the flour.
  5. Remove the dough from the bowl and knead until its smooth and elastic if it’s to sticky add a little more flour. Place the dough in a clean bowl & cover with glad wrap.
  6. Fill your sink with 60 cm of very warm water and sit the mixing bowl in it for about 35-40 minutes. Cover the sink and bowl with a tea towel to keep the heat in.
  7. Roll out the dough on a clean & floured surface. 

Assemble the Pizza


  1. Place the rolled-out dough onto a Pizza tray spray the tray with non-stick oil
  2. Dob the Tomato paste on the centre of the pizza base and spread over the base evenly with the back of a spoon.
  3. Then in the following order place all other ingredients evenly around the pizza
  4. 1- 2 tablespoons of Tomato paste
  5. Handful of baby spinach leaves
  6. 1- Handful of Vegan Shredded cheese
  7. ¼ Capsicum 
  8. 2-3 button mushrooms sliced
  9. 6-8 slices of zucchini – I sliced them thinly with a vegetable peeler 
  10. About 6 cherry tomatoes – halved
  11. About 6 olives – halved
  12. ¼ Red onion thinly sliced
  13. Top with other handful of Vegan cheese.
  14. Place in the oven and cook for 8 – 10 minutes 
  15. Take out slice and enjoy
