Update from CrossFit Monash - CrossFit Open
Posted: 29 March 2017
Crossfit Monash has been competing in the CrossFit Open for the past 5 weeks and our athletes have recently completed the fifth and final WOD -17.5.
There have been some outstanding efforts from all of our members. Many of our members have gotten their first toes to bar, snatched heavier than they ever have and pushed themselves harder than they ever thought they could.
Australia has 36,000 athletes competing in the CrossFit Open and participants from CrossFit Monash have posted some outstanding results.
(Standings in Australia)
- Gillian. W – #57 (Individual Women Masters division: 55-59yrs)
- Dan. C – #192 (Individual Master Division: 50-54yrs)

- Daniel. L – #3119 (Individual Men’s Open Division)
- Louise. O – #4438 (Individual Women’s Open Division)
- Lauren. B – #5288 (Individual Women’s Open Division)
These members have done incredibly well considering many of them are just in their first few months of CrossFit, some have been on holidays and had to compete overseas, some members have been completing workouts at any chance they get to make sure they put a score on the online leaderboard. A fantastic effort from all competing members.
We are so proud of not only these competing members but also all the other members of CrossFit Monash for being a huge support to all the competing members, the atmosphere around the CrossFit box for the past few weeks has been electric!
Congratulations to all CrossFit Monash competitors on their achievements during the CrossFit Open.
